The Haven of RCS has developed a comprehensive approach to domestic violence community intervention, education, and prevention. The following programs are provided through resources of our Outreach Program. Please call (727) 441-2029 to find out more information about the following programs.
Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Program
A Youth Advocate runs our prevention program implemented in high schools, school success groups, and conflict management groups. The primary focus of this program is to educate youth about teen dating violence.
Children's Support Groups
Children attend support group while their mothers attend adult women's group. Support and education are provided to children in attendance. Tutorial programs are facilitated when enough supervision is available. All sessions are confidential.
Peacemaker Program
A holistic program developed to empower children and youth to live peaceful lives. The Peacemaker Pledge is to teach peaceful alternatives to violence. They assist children and youth in strengthening developmental assets to serve as building blocks for becoming healthy, caring and responsible. They assist children and youth in developing values that promote compassion, empathy, and respect for themselves, others, and the environment. There are three age groups for the Peacemaker Program: Preschool/Kindergarten, Elementary (4th and 5th grades), and Middle school. The Peacemaker Program can be reached at (727) 449-8444. The Peacemaker Program is a collaborative effort with The Haven of RCS, CASA, PAR and Community Pride Child Care Inc.
The Delta Project
A collaborative effort with several other agencies which are involved in developing strategies and methodologies to help educate and mobilize the Pinellas County community in ending Domestic/Intimate Partner Violence. The primary prevention efforts include an after school curriculum that educates young men on several prevention topics with one area of focus being domestic violence.

The Emergency Response Team (ERT)
ERT is a program designed to provide rapid, on-site response for families experiencing a crisis due to concerns with domestic violence, substance use or abuse, and/or mental health. ERT is a partnership between The Haven of RCS, CASA, PEMHS, and PAR. Referrals are made through the Pinellas County Sheriffs Office Child Protection Investigation Division (CPI).
